So what in the heck is all this?
"XoverIP - Vernon Trent" is a personal online photo gallery from germany, with images updated at least once a day and
sometimes more or less frequently. people, portrait, nude, abstract, emotional and travel photography are the main content of this page.
sometimes some experimental shots as well.
amateurs worry about equipment,
professionals worry about money,
masters worry about light,
I make pictures... :-)

[ a brief statement ]
Vernon Trent was born in Romania in 1967.
His journey to the art you see today began as a child.
When most children his age were playing games and attending parties,
Vernon was honored with his very first photographic exhibition.
At the seasoned age of 10, his talents were already recognized
by the local photographic community. He currently resides near Dusseldorf Germany.
His exhibitions include European as well as United States venues such as,
Munich, Frankfurt, Bocholt, Ratingen, Düsseldorf, Duluth, San Mateo and Chicago. --> read more
[ workflow, tools and equipment ]
except the analog photographs, all digital shots are taken with my canon 350D in RAW mode
using the AdobeRGB colour profile. for the conversion from RAW to TIFF I use Capture One PRO.
I check the exposure, the white balance and do some adjustments, if needed. after that I do some
sharpening and convert to 16bit TIFF 300 DPI AdobeRGB file.
now the further process in photoshop cs2 depends of the image and the "target" :-) all editing steps
in photoshop are "non-destructive" using layers and masks. finally, after the work is done, I resize the image
for the photoblog, apply sRGB colour profile, sharpen if needed and save as jpeg for web. that's all :).
for the work mentioned above, I use:
- DELL precision 690 workstation, DUAL XEON 3.8 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 2x400 GB HDD
- Two 19" DELL TFT Panels
- Windows XP Pro
- Capture One Pro
- Adobe Photoshop CS2
- PictureNaut & Photomatix for HDR
- Iview Media Pro for media management
- Google Picasa
