“Twelve Shots” - A Heartfelt Compilation by Vernon Trent (new book)

Twelve Shots is a heartfelt compilation - a book that describes my unmasked passion, moments which are deeply personal and haunting. Within each of us are a kaleidoscopic variety of thoughts and feelings which I have attempted to convey through my art. It was not easy to restrict this book to only 12 pieces that encompass my span of emotions for this series. I labored over the sequence of images to Read the rest of this entry »

Good Bye Censorship, Good Bye Flickr!

This photo is unavailable to you. Take me home.

It has been a mess to surf the Flickr site during the last days.
99% of my picture searches ended with the message shown above. Help, I’m from Germany with a “Flickr-SafeSearch” function that cannot be disabled.

No PRO upgrade, just deleted the account and call it a day.

Blog Updates - New Design and Core Files

Regular visitors of this blog have already noticed the new design.
A major update has been done to a lot of the core files and of some plug-ins have been adapted too.
My host moved some weeks ago to a new provider with new servers and software versions. This move had the effect that the blog functionality was a bit “disturbed”, such as the contact form, being my most important communication interface with my visitors.
Being “in the run” with all the reprogramming and customizing, I have decided to add some more functionality to the blog. Soon, a shopping cart will be implemented as well, so you can easily browse my fine art portfolio and buy whatever you like in a very comfortable way.
The most time consuming task was the adaption of the layout to look identical in different operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac) and browser versions, such as IE 5,6,7 or Opera, Firefox and Safari for Mac. As you can imagine, the IE 5 & 6 were the winner in the category “troublemakers” :-) At least every problem was solved and I think that I have done a good job.
I also want to thank the guys and gals from Browsershots for their service, helping to test the page and sending screen shots from different operating systems and browser.

If you encounter some problems or odd things, please do not hesitate to report.
I’ll try to fix it as best as I can :-)

Thanks for your patience and report.

Cheers,
Vernon Trent

Model Lie interacts with the photographer, offers ideas, creates atmospheres and in this way, with her creativity she provides an essential impulse and contribution to the cycle of development of the “picture worlds” shown here.

Her meaningful significant gestures, expressiveness and body language create and embody an art that speaks to the soul. It is not just an esthetically beautiful act photography, it is the Read the rest of this entry »
